Fellowship
If you have interest in Bible Studies, Coffee and Conversations, and other fun activities, email admin@stmatthewsvf.org. Many of our fellowship opportunities are available via Zoom.
THE ALPHA COURSE
St. Matthew's is exploring offering The Alpha Course to members and to our friends in the community. The Alpha Course attempts to answer many of the questions Christians have like - how do I read the Bible? How can we have faith? Does God still heal today? In what ways does God guide us?
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the Christian faith. Sessions include connecting, watching a brief video and small group discussions. No prep work is needed. The series is 8-12 weeks long and is a way to explore your faith in a non-judgmental way and ask your questions in a safe space. The class would be facilitated by Pastor John and begin in the Spring.
We are surveying the congregation to determine your level of interest in this program and to identify the best time to hold this class–evening or daytime?
If you have an interest, please contact Jennifer Vastardis at jennifer.w.vastardis@gmail.com.
UNITED METHODIST MEN’S GROUP

GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP
Grief has no barriers or timelines and not all grief looks the same. If you are struggling with grief or the isolation that it can bring, please join our Grief Support Group. A safe environment where you can tell your story and express feelings freely, knowing that others will be understanding, non-judgmental, and supportive.
Wednesdays, 3 - 4:30 PM
Please contact Pastor John at pastorjohn@stmatthewsvf.org if interested.
SMALL GROUPS
Small Groups are programs meant to be short term with minimal amount of planning. The idea being try some new endeavors, see how it goes and determine which Small Groups to continue. Beginning in May, the team is kicking off five different efforts lasting a maximum of ten weeks.
